On the go fuel

Note: this information below does not come from a Registered Dietitian (RD), however growing up with a RD in the family made me become familiar with looking at Nutrition labels.

Living in London, England it took me a while to find a protein bar that was decently priced and had a sufficient amount of protein that made my stomach feel full for a few hours. After searching for a few months at various grocery and health stores I came across the Nature Valley Protein Peanut & Chocolate Bar at my local Morrisons supermarket. I was keen to try it and was surprised at how full I felt after eating the protein bar. Side-note: it was also delish! I first bought the Peanut and Chocolate Bar and then tried Nature Valley Protein Salted Caramel Nut Bars.

As a teacher who is often on the go, these bars have been a lifesaver! When traveling abroad on weekend trips I also pack a few protein bars. This fall when I traveled to Berlin with my brother I had the protein bars and shared them with him. He was also a huge fan. Since these flavours are not found in Canada (but I hope soon), I gifted my brother a box of the peanut and chocolate protein bars. While I was back in Canada for Christmas I noticed at the local grocery store Fortinos they did sell the peanut butter dark chocolate flavour and they didn't disappoint!

Stole the rest of Myra's bars because they are so good! - Kalynna
